Fans are dying to see more killer knockouts from the K1 boss Jerome Le Banner. Set to face Ruslan Karaev at the upcoming elims in Seoul, JLB is burning with a desire to no longer be the uncrowned king.

K1: What do you think of your opponent for the elims, Ruslan Karaev?

JLB: I don't know. I don't know anything about him, I will just knock him out.

K1: The K1 boss sounds really ready. How do you think the speed of your opponent measures up?

JLB: I'm just stronger and faster. He's, what, 24? Age hasn't changed me, I'll knock him out!!

K1: You seem very motivated. Some are saying they expect you will KO him.

JLB: Is that so? Well, with all the boxing I've been doing, it shouldn't come as a shock. My condition now is getting better. I want to have a fight different than before. My knee was injured but now I will come back fully revived. That's what I want to show. I will show it with skill, not praying for some miracle to happen. May the best man win.

K1: Going back to what you said before, how do you think your conditioning will hold up?

JLB: I can't afford to get the flu or something, I'm in perfect shape!! There's no need for further explanation, I'll just have to show you.

K1: What does the WGP mean to JLB?

JLB: It's a black cat. It's bad luck. Unlucky (laughs).

K1: Yes, very...why do you think that is?

JLB: I don't have any luck. For me, that's been true of past WGPs. I just didn't have any luck. But now it's fine. I just have to do it. This time I will utilize my strategies to win.

K1: You seem very serious coming into this match, why is that?

JLB: If I was nervous, it would be a different conversation. It's not that feeling at all. That's bad. I'm tired of being the uncrowned king. Just thinking about the finals gives me shivers. Luckily, I've been training hard. I'm not going to run away and hide. I don't care about being an old man, my age doesn't matter.

K1: You always seem to give an appearance of living a great life.

JLB: It's because life is rock and roll. Do the things you love doing. I try to say that all the time. That is rock and roll. When you must follow your dreams. Don't think about your career. Even when I was coming out of bad times, I didn't think about it. Besides, I'm blessed. I'm doing what I love to do. I have God's blessing. That's why my life is rock and roll. I do whatever. Since I can do what I want I'm happy, and I want to show others that happiness. That is why this time I'm going to the fight.

K1: What will you give the fans who support your victory?

JLB: The past couple years were bad. I wasn't feeling well. I can say it clearly now that the past two or three years I wasn't concentrating. But now I want to give the love back to the fans. That's what I really want. The paycheck is inconsequential. It's not about money, but honor. After 2002, my fans didn't abandon me. It's the truth. I'm back. That's all.

K1: The fans are waiting feverishly for your return to the ring.
